The plaque contains the following dedication:
In Remembrance of Elizabeth Manning late Lady of the Manor of Bratton Clovelly and in accordance with her expressed Wish this List of the Rectors of Bratton Clovelly is placed in this Church by her many Friends 5th July 1914.
